An Ethical Approach to Serving Others
In such a fast paced world, there are pressures to ignore ethical standards, compromise on what matters most, and think about yourself before those you have been called to lead. Many often don’t realize when their motivations have become selfish instead of selfless. With a culture of self-promotion and self-protection, leaders feel forced to first ask “what’s in it for me.”
However, you can choose to lead in a different way. You can lead in a way that isn’t all about you, where your motivation to lead is genuinely to serve others, and where you make decisions based on what you believe is in the best interest of your community and society.
